Raiden Legacy App Reviews

I dont care to imagine how many quarters Ive fed into these games in my lifetime. Theyre fun and challenging, and the backdrops are often oddly beautiful. The only sore point for me is the lack of Raiden II, which was always my favourite.

Well, I was off to bed before I happened across this application. An hour or two later, here I am writing this review. After dropping quarter after quarter into Fighters 2 when I skipped classes at the beginning of college more than 10 years ago, paying $10 for this was painlessly obvious. In Fighters 2, everything is the way I memorized: enemy entry, bullet patterns, bomb use placement, etc. There running score does flicker seemingly constantly, but it is not a distraction while youre zigging and zagging. For all games contained within, the graphics are crystal as is the music and the controls, keyboard or keypad, are tight as required. A must buy for shmup fans. Final two words: Judge Spear!

pretty much exactly the same as retro, which means its still freakin hard! please add "unlimited credits" i cant get past the 3rd level.. please! thanks :D great game! does anyone know which game is exactly like this but you get to use a girl, ninja, dolphin, robot baby, etc. and they each had different "bombs"? ive been trying to look for it for ages!

This game is great but would like to know how to get more credits when you use up the ones the give you.

I have the ipad version as well, but the mac version definitely takes it one notch higher. Both the graphics and the music seem better, and being able to play on a bigger screen without touch control is a huge plus. There are many vertical and horizontal shootem ups out there, but in my opinion too many of them suffer from focusing on flash, embellished display and overblown, unclassical gameplay. What I truly love about Raiden is its classic conservative game play and rocking music. This is the ultimate classic shootem up if you are not looking for any of the other fancy elements of the genre. Now, as a big shooter fan, I have one ultimate request - Bring on Raiden 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the Raiden Fighters series a lot. However, it seems very odd for an emulated arcade game to not have an option to insert additional coins!

If you love shmups with frenetic action and tons of eye candy, you can’t do much better than this. A heck of a good time!

It is very well done but like to see the continue credit add on to the game because people like me like to play it to the end and learn from that then try it in harder level. I think you guy should add more continue credit for player to enjoyed the game. I mean that the point of buying a game to have fun and enjoyed to get a way from work in the Mac Book Pro side of work. I really like it a lot for me I don’t know about other think. But thinks for making game for people like me to have fun and enjoyed…..

The game is lots of fun and looks great. It needs an update that will allow you to add credits. It is an arcade game. By design it is made to keep you pumping quarters into the machine but this game only gives you 3 credits. Basically you will only be able to play the first level or two unless you are some sort of Raiden virtuoso.

By the end of the first level the music and SFX are cutting in and out like mad. I was also hoping, at least for Raiden, that the TurboGrafx-16 soundtrack would be used, which is of MUCH higher quality.

VERY RETRO REMINDS ME OF WHEN I WAS A KID IN THE ARCADE EXEPT THIS ONE DOSENT EAT YOUR WEEKS ALLOWENCE IN A EVENING LOL

If you loved these games then you will love this pack. the only downside is the very little credits you get while playing. If they would allow for infinite credits the re-play value would be higher for some and would make it seem less repetive.

these games retain there game play decades later hope to see them on next gen consoles one day

This program is a bust. I cannot launch it. Everytime I launch it it either freezes with a black screen or just quits. I have not seen a single screen, credits etc. I reinstalled the OS as we all know games can be delicate. It made no difference at all. I am running Yosemite and I am Beta testing 10.11 (it does not behave in 10.11 either).

So i purchased this based “COMPATIBLE WITH OSX 10.7 OR LATER Dont waste your money !! It does not work on OS X yosemite or El Capitan from what i now know . The tech supports answer was “ sorry you are out of luck you should have seen if the game is compatible”. Sorry you guys reference the game as compatible with OS X 10.7 or later in the APP store so thanks for standing behind your software and thanks for wasting 4 dollars for a game that doesnt work and thanks for being d**** in the process . Thanks DOT EMU you guys are the best !!

I am very dissapointed on the game. Will not run on the Macbook with Capitan. I would rate 0 star if i could. WANT my money back
